Dog Days of Summer - 6 weeks until NCAA Football

The NBA is over, but did we really care anyway? Except for NBA playoffs live betting, I could care less. And baseball, forget it. I hate to say it, but I'd rather watch The Bachelorette - Where are they now episode. Pretty sad.

But the college football and the NFL are right around the corner, and can't you taste your first bets of the season? I think every dude in America is completely jonezing right now for anything football. Fantasy football, survival football, parlays, teasers, halftime bets, moneylines, futures, and anything else your degenerate gambling heart desires.

This is the inaugural post on the Pete Vegas blog. Look for more in the next few weeks. I'll look at some early games, my September betting strategies, and good future bets.

Until then, stay busy and stay away from baseball!

Sweet Petevegas. As you know from previous lectures, College Football Sucks. It's all about the NFL, and I'm counting on you to make my season!

Pete Vegas, I believe that gambling, the fast cars, the fast women and such should be taken for what they are, a necessary part of secret male society (or not so secret). However, I think that this forum would better suit society in general if we discussed topics of real importance such as the teaching of creation science in school. We all know that there is no real science in "creation science" and that is why it has no place in science curriculums.

Also, while Im here, I might as well try to stay on topic (sports). Have you ever been to some of the major sports news network sites (espn, yahoo sports) during the college football season and seen some of the posts coming out of SEC and Ohio State fans? You want to talk about some of the most myopic people in all the world. I cant wait until USC completely dismantles Ohio State this year. If you've noticed that the Ohio State people have layed back somewhat on the message boards, because deep down, they truly know they are in a world of hurt come USC game time. Now the SEC homers, they are a bit of a different animal. They are completely out of their minds. They truly believe that the LSU's and Georgia's would actually soundly beat USC. They can scream this shit all over the internet because they know they will not be playing USC anytime soon, unlike Ohio State. The problem is their limited mental capacity prevents the retention of memories beyond one year. Could they go back just a few years they would recall the complete lambasting that the Trojans put on Auburn (twice) and Arkansas (twice). The SEC simply does not see offensive sophistication that is required to win in the PAC-10. Plain and simple no arguing about it what so ever. Now that I've discussed a little college football, I can get on with my day.

Pete Vegas,

WestInvadesEast, It is a well known fact that the Bronco's franchise has fallen on tough times and that the organization and team are in the lowest quarter of the league in terms of organization quality and competetiveness. I wouldn't be surprised if your Broncos finish behind the Chargers, Cheifs AND Raiders in the division this year.
