TEXAS -3.5 over mizzou - Texas just beat #1 OU on a neutral field, Mizzou lost in Columbia to OK St, and the 'Horns are only 3 and a half??? Colt McCoy is good, Texas is good, and Mizzou has not won in Texas since the 1800's..Free Willie wasn't even born yet!! This one has blowout written all over it. 'Horns 63-Tigers 35
WAZZU +42 over usc ..'SC did not look good last week. This reminds me of the Stanford game last year when the Trojans were a 40 point favorite, and lost on the square. Welcome to Red River Shootout Saturday. I thought I like to get up early, 11am local start???, I guess the tailgate starts after the game. Let's get to the picks. BTW, how easy was that Mizzou winner I gave you last week?
texas +7 over oklahoma...My sleeper pick to win the national championship, at 15-1, was Texas. If you have a stud QB in college football, you have a big chance. Colt McCoy has come into his own, and OU is stepping up in class this week. I think Texas lays the wood, but I will take the points, and moneyline in this 'Horns romp. Texas 48-OU 31
FLORIDA -6 over la shoe -- Florida is coming like a bunch of crazed dogs over the Tigers today. LSU struggled with War Eagle on the road, and the Gators are out for blood. Tebow gets back in the Heisman race with a big game. Gators 51-la shoe 24
notre dame + 8.5 over UNC -- I hate betting against the Tar Heels, but Notre Dame isn't bad, and I do not feel comfortable with the heels laying more than a TD. Clauson looks good, and this is freeing up the Irish running game, I like Notre Dame outright today. Irish 41-'Heels 23

I'm back!! Some of you have missed me, and I apologize for my two week absence. I think that Beaver beat down of the Trojans put me in a state of shock. Let's try to mix in some winners in a action packed sports weekend.
mizzou -10 over NEBRASKA - Mizzou killed The Huskers last year in Columbia, and I expect more of the same. Chase Daniel will have his way the Nebraska secondary, and will have extra motivation because Husker head coach, Bo Pellini, hinted not only at beating Mizzou today, but dropped a potential 'shut out' bomb against the Tigers. Does he know Mizzou averages 54 a game? Expect 50+ from Mizzou today, and the ez cover. Mizzou 58-24
auburn -4 over VANDY - GameDay is at Vanderbilt...Let me repeat (my Joe Biden impression), GameDay is at Vanderbilt. I expect the 'Dores to come out guns-a-blazin', and to hang tough with Auburn, or even lead at halftime. But in the end, Auburn's 'D' is too tough, and will get the ice cream in Nashville later today. War Eagle 27-13

After a great Saturday, including destruction at The Coliseum, I am ready to cash another ticket this morning.
TAMPA BAY -7 over atlanta - Matt Ryan, you're not at home, and you're not playing the Lions. I love Tampa Bay at home today to crush the Falcons. The Buccs we load up the D line to stop Michael Turner and challenge Ryan. The Buccs will roll at home, the only thing missing will be Free Willie sucking down Miller Lites on the Buccaneer Barge. He'll be at Leo's.
PV NFL hunch plays - MINN +1 over indy, and DEN pick over san diego. Indy and San Diego both can't both go 0-2 right? Uh, yes they can.

We must protect this house!
I've had September 13th marked on my calendar ever since we scheduled this game, right around the same time Ohio State penciled in Youngstown State for their 2008 opener. I am fired up! This is what it's all about, juggernauts meeting in prime time on a Saturday night in front of millions of viewers. It will be magical later when #1 USC charges out of the tunnel to take the field against the Buckeyes. I will be there and I cant' wait. Now to the Saturday picks:
USC -11.5 over ohio st - Fool me once shame on you, fool me seven times, shame on Pete Vegas. In the last seven games versus Little 10 opponents, USC is 7-0, and has won all seven of those games by double digits. I always look for any reason to play underdogs, but I can't find any here. It seems like Ohio St has already conceded this game to USC. Are they playing possum, or do they know they are going to get steam rolled? Seems like the latter. USC is too fast, too strong, too talented, and lives for games like this. TROJANS BIG. 44-7
WASH +21.5 over oklahoma - U Dub is close, and after last week's horrific call against BYU, I think the Huskies will come out with a chip on their shoulders. I'm not sure about a win against the Sooners, but I'm taking those 21.5 like it's easy.
SOUTH CAR +7 over georgia - I love home teams getting a touchdown, especially The ol' ball coach. I like the 'Cocks on the square. (insert your own joke)
NOTRE DAME +2 over michigan - This is a huge game for Notre Dame, and I like the Irish to beat Michigan in an ugly, low scoring game played between the 40's. I'm thinking 14-6 Notre Dame.

Saturday Bonus Picks
I did some more handicapping on my flight to Chapel Hill. I really like these games, especially Washington over Oregon.
Mizzou -8.5 over Illinois...College football is all about offense and the starting QB. Especially when you have a guy like Chase Daniel, a Heisman candidate receiver, and a very underrated defense. Mizzou-Rah BIG!!!
Alabama +4 over Clemson...Nick Saban will FINALLY show why he earned the most powerful coach in any sport. Move over Gustav, Roll Tide comin' through the ATL tonight.
Washington +13.5 over OREGON...I love Jake Locker. U Dub coach Ty 'Shula' Willingham is on the hot seat, and he has Jake on his side. It's going to be a down year for Oregon, the fairy dust is coming off those steel plated unis. With Dixon and Stewart gone, I will take Locker and the Huskies, but I will buy it to 14, and also play the moneyline. Love the Huskies today.
And, the PV hunch play of the week, Appy St. +21.5 over LA Shoe...Just because I love Armanti Edwards and hate LA Shoe.

Football is back..early locks!!!
Sorry for the blog delay. My 'real' job has been keeping me busy. I have a few locks for opening NCAA weekend:
MICHIGAN-3 over Utah...I love Coach Rodriguez and Michigan HUGE over Utah. There will be no Appy State repeat, trust me on this. Lay the 3 like you have Sunday's sports page!!!
UVA + 19.5 over Southern Cal...Great defense, yes, but too may new faces on offense for SC. Big questions with Sanchez and the wide receiving corps. Hoos to keep it very close, and I hate to say it, they may win in Charlottesville. I hope I'm wrong, but please, take the 19.5, thank you very much.
